September Camp

 Diaries at the ready! Our next camp at Birkin Wood! You can camp on the Friday and/or Saturday nights, or if you just want to come for the day on the Saturday, you will be very welcome.

There will be all sorts of heathen activities as well as just general chatting and outdoorsyness. We will also hold a blot together on the Saturday.

There will be a charge of £10 per tent for those camping which goes to the farmer who owns the land. Please bring anything you wish to eat and drink (including water), as there are no shops within walking distance. You will also need to bring your own camping equipment if you wish to camp. Please also note that there will be some communal tasks like collecting fire wood that those who can will need to pitch in with.

There is a toilet on site, but that is it in terms of facilities. It is a wood after all and not a campsite, so make sure you bring everything you need. If you have specific needs in terms of accessibility we can discuss them, unfortunately due to the nature of the site it is not accessible for everyone, but we will try to facilitate where we can.

There is parking available. For those who have not been before I can give you the details. Please note that unless you have a 4x4 you cannot drive all the way to where we camp. It is either a 10 minute walk, or someone with a 4x4 can pick you up from the car parking area.

Also bug spray. There are very hungry mossies, so protect yourself as best you can!

We need to be off site early on the Sunday morning as there is an airsoft game starting at 0930, and we don't want to get shot! So if you plan to partake of an excessive amount of beverage, it would be advisable to do this on the Friday night rather than the Saturday night :p

For those of you who haven't been to our camps before, they are always popular, relaxed and enjoyable. I look forward to spending a great weekend with old friends and new.
